When you donate to the Waterloo Schools Foundation, you do more than support immediate academic opportunities — you invest in the future of our students, schools, and community. Teachers often need more resources to improve their classrooms, while outside of class, students face barriers to expanding their learning.
Your donation has a strong, immediate impact. It might help a student attend a prestigious conference, allow a teacher to run an innovative lesson, or enable a Waterloo Career Center pathway to teach industry skills through hands-on learning. These improvements make education more accessible and personalized, creating an environment where students can thrive immediately.
Let’s look at the investment we received from PSSI in January. Their $125,000 donation helped launch five new career pathways at the Waterloo Career Center. These funds provided immediate resources, such as materials for cosmetology students to explore their field and for agri-science students to test soil pH to find the best soil for healthy plant growth.
But the impact doesn’t end there. PSSI’s investment is creating a lasting difference, enhancing career readiness and awareness for over 700 students. By introducing new career fields to explore, we’re actively preparing the future workforce of the Cedar Valley. Students are gaining skills that will launch them into related careers and serve them throughout their lives.
Education evolves to meet students’ needs, and these changes help students build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Your donation impacts lives immediately and contributes to a legacy of opportunity and success. Together, we can create a world where every child has the chance to learn, grow, and succeed — both now and for generations to come.
