The Waterloo Schools Foundation's Annual Sparking Academic Excellence Breakfast returns for a tenth year at the Waterloo Convention Center on Thursday, April 25th from 7:30- 8:30 AM.
Highlights include representation and displays by students and staff from all 19 schools across the Waterloo Community School District and an energetic program moderated by our emcee, Gina Weekley. The program includes a keynote presentation from JJ Moses, a State of the District address by Superintendent Dr. Jared Smith, and an introduction by the Waterloo Schools Foundation’s Executive Director, Hannah Luce.
“We are eager to showcase the value of public education with the Cedar Valley community and welcome back an esteemed alum who truly champions the values of the Waterloo Schools”, said Luce.
This year’s keynote presentation will be from JJ Moses, an East High alum who is an author, speaker, and former NFL athlete. As a proud Waterloo native, Moses is excited to return to ignite passion and inspire excellence amongst attendees through his insight on embracing change from his recent book, Focused: The Prepare to Win Mindset.
Program begins at 7:30 AM and doors open to the public at 6:45 AM. Tickets are $30 per person and corporate sponsorships start at $250. Visit www.wcsfoundation.org/our-events to reserve a seat and for more information. Email info@wcsfoundation.org or call 319-939-9550 with any questions.
