The Waterloo Career Center (WCC) is a state of the art, hands on learning facility that provides Career and Technical Education (CTE) for Waterloo Schools students. Classes are designed in collaboration with the local chamber of commerce (Grow Cedar Valley), and other industry experts to give students hands-on learning opportunities that translate to current needs and job projections within the Cedar Valley community. 

Currently, students can choose from over 18 career pathways to explore, with 5 new paths opening in Fall

2024. From IT courses to plumbing to graphic design, this unique curriculum allows for students to receive college credit free of cost, and has saved students over $435,000 in tuition. 

To date, the WSF has gifted and pledged $413,000 in total to the Waterloo Career Center in the past five years. The most recent contribution is from PSSI for $125,000 to launch Beauty/Wellness, Powerterch Academy, Agri-science, Criminal Justice/Police Science, and reinstate Hospitality.
